Four hundred metres from Cathedrale St-Etienne is close enough to hear its bells and far enough to sleep through the night undisturbed, and Clos Montcenoux sits right at that sweet spot. The ground-floor apartment opens onto garden views rather than a street facade, a small but real difference in how the stay feels, and a private entrance means no shared stairwell traffic. The kitchen runs to a dishwasher, not always a given in older Bourges conversions, and free private parking removes the usual old-town headache of circling for a space. Musee du Berry sits under a kilometre away, and the walk there passes some of the best-preserved half-timbered facades in the Marais quarter.
