The renovation kept the outbuilding's proportions and added air-conditioning, a private terrace with garden views, and a kitchenette with a minibar, comforts the original stone walls never had. Bourges Station, the Esteve Museum and the city centre landmarks all sit roughly 13 to 14 kilometres away, a real drive rather than a walk, which trades old-town proximity for countryside quiet and free on-site parking. The toll access five minutes away makes day trips into the city, or onward into the Sologne or Loire valley, straightforward by car.
