Hotel du Moulin sits closer to the Donjon de Niort than almost anywhere else in the city, two hundred and fifty metres away, close enough that the walk barely registers as a walk at all before or after a day out. Free parking on site adds a real convenience missing from several old-town competitors, and the location works equally well for a Marais Poitevin day trip, ten minutes away by car, or a longer excursion toward La Rochelle, fifty minutes away, or Futuroscope, about an hour.
