Set in the historic town centre, this hotel gives guests a genuinely quiet base thanks to its garden, terrace and library, three spaces that most city-centre addresses in Caen simply do not have room for. Chateau Ducal and the Jardin des Plantes are both a ten-minute walk away, close enough for an evening stroll after dinner, and the A13 motorway sits five kilometres out for guests arriving by car. Rooms are soundproofed and kept simple: a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe, a desk and a telephone, with a private bathroom stocked with free toiletries. The continental buffet breakfast starts the day before heading out into the old quarter, and couples in particular rate the location highly for a two-person stay.
