The Holiday Inn Calais Centre has one of the most useful addresses in town: Boulevard des Alliés, with the beach and the Dragon de Calais outside, the belfry and Rodin's Burghers of Calais within walking distance, and the ferry terminal five minutes by car. Family rooms, a harbour-view breakfast and free public transport add value. A 7.6 score from about 2,150 reviews calls for moderate expectations. I would book it the night before a crossing.
